West-Pannon is the member of the network of economic development agencies, it has a regional remit in SME development, incubator and industrial park development, financing of SMEs and municipality projects. It has a strong network with other regional actors, and as a result participated in the development of one of the biggest industrial parks (with euro 250,000 seed capital) in its region and was responsible for preparation of a new incubator and innovation centre (euro 2m total investment from various resources) with a total capacity of 2700 sqm, with a wide range of support services. Results and outputs shall be used to implement further successful business park projects with the involvement of funding from ERDF sources available for the establishment of technology centres (via OPs). West-Pannon has an internationally experienced staff of 5 people, has all the necessary office capacities and equipment and capable to pre-finance its project activities.
West-Pannon's previous experience in EU-funded projects:
West-Pannon carried out an INTERREG III/A (Austria) project in 2004-2005, realising a complex training program in West-Pannon and Burgenland regions so as to invigorate cross-border country tourism. Total cost: 83.500 EUR. In 2005-2006 West-Pannon has contributed to effectuate an INTERREG III/A project in cooperation with the West-Pannon Public Company, an Austrian partner aiming to extend cross-border SME development by establishing business information centres in the border region. Total cost: 105.500 EUR. An Interreg III C Project (TRATOKI) aimed to create a new system of tools in order to support and finance small enterprises, for local actors with good practice examples from 9 regions, action models and a pathfinder for good practice transfer. West-Pannon was the senior consultant of the Hungarian Partner in the project. West-Pannon has participated in several ERDF funded projects on national and regional level, too (business park development, SME financing, clustering etc).
