TnUAD is the main scientific and research institution in the region, with many experiences in managing of scientific projects. It is avowed and supported by regional authority and it is in charge of making an analysis of innovation potential in the region as well as elaborating of a development strategy of the region and making a suggestion of regional innovation strategy. It brings important research and innovation potential to the region, and one of the faculties specializes in the issue of regional development, management, management of public affairs and regional marketing. The university was involved as a contractor or a subcontractor in many projects and it solves a lot of scientific and academic projects of national scientific agencies like KEGA and VEGA and international projects like 6th Framework Project, Leonardo da Vinci projects etc.
TnUAD's previous experience in EU-funded projects:
TnUAD has many experiences with EU funded projects. The most important one regarding the innovation related topics was the leadership of the 6th Framework Programme project "Development and Implementation of Regional Innovation Strategy in the Trencin Region" that was successfully implemented within 2005 - 2008. This project resulted in the innovation strategy for the Trencin Region composed of series of key priorities for the region within the programming period 2007-2013. One of them is the priority “Technology and Knowledge Transfer” that aims to establish business networks, centres, parks and clusters as well as technology and know-how transfer centres in the Trencin region that would enhance the innovation and competitiveness level of the region. Therefore the FIDIBE project is entire upgrade of the RIS project as it is in accordance with the strategy and aims to set up clear conditions and manual for setting up the innovative business parks in the region.
