Technology Park Ljubljana (TP Lj) was established in 1995 and acts as a technology centre for incubation and acceleration. At the same time TP Lj acts as an interface for researchers who can directly sense the pulse of industry and the market. TP Lj provides specialised business support services to high-technology companies by providing them with a favourable business and innovation environment with services for development and growth. Furthermore, TP Lj is the leading partner in the field of innovation and research policy in the region as it is involved in drafting and proposing recommendations on business development to the authorities. TP Lj intensively cooperates within local and regional networks and has profound experience from national and international projects. TP Lj gained ERDF resources for developing technology zone for high-technology companies. In 2008 TP Lj officially handed into use 7 modern facilities with more than 34.000 m2 office facilities and more than 27.000 m2 underground facilities. In the following years TP Lj is going to focus on further development of technology zone, environmental friendly projects, building community of TP Lj companies and further development of business support services (business mentorship).

TP Lj's previous experience in EU-funded projects:

5 English-speaking staff members were directly involved in running projects activities and have a strong past experience in coordinating national and EU (FP5, FP6, Interreg IIIC) projects: FP6 RITTS RIS: partner (PP), overall project value (OPV) of € 611.977, Regional Innovation and Technology Transfer for Slovenia. FP6 Connect-2-Ideas: PP, OPV € 865.790, maximising transnational technology transfer using large company networks to stimulate activity. FP 6 Boost-IT: PP, OPV € 754.680, Set-up of a collaborative permanent network for boosting the participation of incubated SMEs in FP6 activities. FP 6 INNODEAL: pilot partner, OPV € 564.580, pilot actions and learning processes for joint innovation programmes. Lifelong Learning Programme IRTrain: PP, OPV € 309.752, Adapting and transferring and existing successful investment readiness training for KBB.
