TP Lj was established in 1995 and acts as a centre of innovation and incubation and at the same time acts as an interface for researchers who can directly sense the pulse of industry and the market. TP Lj provides high quality specialised business development support to high-technology companies by incorporating them into a favourable business and innovation environment and assisting them during development and growth. Furthermore, TP Lj is the leading partner in the field of innovation and research policy in the region as it is involved in drafting and proposing recommendations to the authorities. Based on intensive cooperation within local and regional networks and profound experience from national and international projects, in 2005 TP Lj successfully applied for ESF for Regional Development. As a leading beneficiary and partner in the approved infrastructure project, in 2007 first four facilities has been handed into use. TP Lj has a staff of 8, office space of 300 sqm.

TP Lj's previous experience in EU-funded projects:

5 English-speaking staff members were directly involved in running projects activities and have a strong past experience in coordinating national and EU (FP5, FP6, Interreg IIIC) projects: FP6 RITTS RIS: partner (PP), overall project value (OPV) of € 611.977, Regional Innovation and Technology Transfer for Slovenia. FP6 Connect-2-Ideas: PP, OPV € 865.790, maximising transnational technology transfer using large company networks to stimulate activity. FP 6 Boost-IT: PP, OPV € 754.680, Set-up of a collaborative permanent network for boosting the participation of incubated SMEs in FP6 activities. FP 6 INNODEAL: pilot partner, OPV € 564.580, pilot actions and learning processes for joint innovation programmes. Lifelong Learning Programme IRTrain: PP, OPV € 309.752, Adapting and transferring and existing successful investment readiness training for KBB.
